Fair Haven Beach State Park
A short 15 minute drive from Cherry Grove Campground, Fair Haven Beach State Park in Fair Haven NY is a great option for a day at the beach. Located on the shores of Lake Ontario and with over 1,500 feet of guarded beach area, Fair Haven Beach offers a great area for swimming, sand, and fun. The park even offers boat rentals for those looking to spend a day on the water. There are a number of amenities located at the beach including boat launches, biking and hiking paths, grills, playgrounds, and food for purchase.

Sodus Point Beach Park
Located about 20 minutes from Cherry Grove Campground, Sodus Point Beach Park in Sodus NY offers a guarded beach and swim area. For swimming the beach opens on June 24^th and remains open until September 1^st with guards at the beach from 11am-7pm everyday. If unsure of beach conditions, call 315-483-4459 for information.

Chimney Bluffs State Park
A great spot for hiking! A 10 minute drive from Cherry Grove Campground, Chimney Bluffs State Park is a unique 597-acre state park in Wolcott NY. Located along the shore of Lake Ontario, the park features unique clay formations at the waters edge.  Chimney Bluffs State Park features a number of trails for hiking. The park also features a number of grills for picnics.

Wolcott Falls Park
A mere mile and a half from Cherry Grove Campground is Wolcott Falls Park. This small park features trails that lead to a beautiful 25 foot waterfall. Great for a short hike close to “home”.

Sterling Nature Center
A 20 minute drive from Cherry Grove Campground, Sterling Nature Center in Sterling NY is a 1,400 acre site along Lake Ontario. The area has more than 10 trails available for hiking along the bluffs with beautiful views of Lake Ontario.

Montezuma Audubon Center
Located in Savannah NY, the Montezuma Audubon Center is only a 15 minute drive from Cherry Grove Campground. The Center features a number of walking trails with opportunities to spot a unique or even rare bird.
