Cherry Grove Campground Rules, Policies & Regulations
Our goal is to provide campers with a clean and safe environment to make memories with family and friends!
We are obligated to follow the local codes and regulations for campgrounds. Please see below for Campground rules. Please note, this is not a comprehensive list. Management reserves the right to change any of these rules before, during, or after the season. Any rule change will be posted in the office. Any situations not covered here will be up to managements discretion to resolve. Campers agree to comply with these rules and regulations as outlined below.
These rules and regulations are instituted for the safety and security of all residents, visitors, staff and management of Cherry Grove Campground. Repeated violations of these rules will result in the removal from the Campground of individual or individuals whether registered campers or visitors without refund. Re-admittance to the Campground will be at the discretion of management.

Amenities:
- Registration as a camper at Campground includes use of amenities including jumping pillow, playground, recreational fields, basketball court, shuffleboard court, horseshoe pits, barbecue pit, fire pit and picnic area and recreation room (some amenities being subject to an additional fee).
- As noted in the waiver and agreed to by Camper, Camper uses these amenities voluntarily and at their own risk. Campground is not responsible for any injuries that may be sustained by Camper and anyone in their care, including children or guests, in their use of amenities.
Bicycles: Scooters: Electric/Battery etc.
- The speed limit is 5 miles per hour and will be strictly enforced.
- Children aged 14 years and younger must wear a helmet when riding any of these items.
- Riding after dark is prohibited. Return to site when night lights come on.
- Skidding tires in the stones will require the rider to rake the stones back into place.
- Misbehavior will lead to bicycles & other electric or motorized items being taken away.
Cabin Policy:
- 2-night minimum stay required.
- Cabins must be left clean with refrigerator and garbage emptied.
- No bedding will be provided.
- No pets allowed in cabins.
- Security deposit will be refunded after inspection and approval.
Campfires:
- Campfires must remain inside your fire ring, flames within reason above fire ring (NOT higher then 3 ft.) and should not use wood containing nails.
- Do not move the fire ring. Campers who move the fire ring will be immediately required to leave the Campground.
Cancellation Policy:
- All cancellations require fourteen (14) days’ notice.
- Refund will be granted at Campground management’s discretion less a $25 cancellation and online reservation fee.
Check-in and Check-out Times ($):
- Check-in time is from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. daily.
- Check-out time is at noon. Please notify the Campground office if you need to stay past noon on your check-out day. A charge of $3.00 per hour will be assessed.
- Please do not move to another site without first notifying the Campground office.
Children:
- The Campground and staff are NOT RESPONSIBLE for watching or supervising children AT ANY TIME. Children under the age of sixteen (16) must be always supervised by a responsible adult and must be on the Site they belong to every night by dusk.
- Children under eighteen (18) years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of eighteen (18) at the swimming facility.
- Battery operated cars for children are strictly prohibited.
- NO Skateboards allowed.
Emergency:
- In case of emergency, call 911 and contact the Campground office.
Firearms/Hunting:
- Firearms are strictly always prohibited on the Campground.
- Hunting is strictly prohibited on the Campground.
Fireworks/Lanterns:
- Always prohibited on Campground property.
Golf Carts:
- Not allowed on Campground property.
Holiday Weekend Policy ($):
- 3 days minimum with payment in full required 45 days prior to check-in.
- There are no refunds for holidays.
Lost or Stolen Items:
- Campground is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Noise:
- Please be considerate of your fellow campers.
- On Friday and Saturday, quiet time begins at 11:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 a.m. From Sunday through Thursday, quiet hours are from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. with an exception for Sunday on holiday weekends.
- No power equipment use is allowed prior to 9:00 a.m.
- When returning to your Site, please be safe and considerate of your neighbors.
Parking:
- You may park up to two (2) cars at a time per Site.
Pets:
- Campers are allowed a maximum of two (2) dogs per Site.
- Campers must produce a copy of the pets’ current rabies vaccinations upon entrance to the Campground to be filed with the office.
- Do not leave pets unattended or tie pets to trees.
- When visiting a site that has a pet, call out to the person or pet on the site before entering.
- All pets must be kept confined, tethered within the site boundaries and two (2) feet from the edge of the road, and leashed when walking on the Campground.
- Leashes must be no longer than six (6) feet long and walkers must be of sufficient stature and size to always maintain positive control and have a grip on the leash. Retractable leases are NOT ALLOWED to walk pets on the Campground.
- Use the trail, road or tenting area to walk your pet. Cutting across anyone else’s site is prohibited by any person or pet.
- Always clean up after your pet on all parts of the Campground, and properly dispose of waste in the dumpster.
- If your dog barks, becomes a nuisance to neighbors or is aggressive towards other dogs or people, you must attend to the dog promptly. Continued unwanted behavior may result in you being asked to leave the Campground with no refund.
- Aggressive pets or those that have previously bitted or attacked people or lets are prohibited from being at the Campground.
- No pets allowed in the recreation hall, swimming area, jumping pillow area, bathhouses, Cabins or playground area mulch/gravel.
- Pet owners agree to abide by the above rules and always assume full responsibility for their pets.
Photos and Videos:
- As agreed, to in the Photo Release, entrance onto the Campground constitutes permission for Campground management to photograph, video, etc. the camper or visitor while they are on the premises, and to use any resulting pictures for any lawful purpose without compensation to or approval from the camper or visitor.
Playground Area:
- Hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. or dusk (when pole lights come on)
- No one over the age of 10 years is allowed in or on the playhouse. If you are seen on top of the playhouse, you will be asked to leave the playground.
- Trash must be placed in garbage cans. No trash may be left at the playground.
- No pets allowed on mulch or stone in playground area.
- May be used to pay hard ball and other games.
- Broken equipment must be reported to management immediately.
- Please play safely and respectfully of others.
Refunds:
- No refunds will be given for inclement weather or early departures.
Sanitation:
- Dumpsters are located to your left as you exit the Campground.
- 5-cent bottles, cans and plastics are requested to be saved for annual Campground project. Please place in the container outside the Campground office.
- Do not leave any trash outside or at the Campground overnight or burn it in the fire ring.
- Cigarette butts should be disposed of in the trash, not on the ground.
Sewage:
- Pursuant to NYS Department of Health regulations, no draining of gray water onto the ground is allowed.
- Black tank valve is not to be left open. Empty sewer tanks with LOTS OF WATER.
- Use of Back Flush connection with hookup to water supply is not permitted.
- No washing of RV or any vehicles on Campground.
Speed:
- The speed limit is five (5) miles per hour. There are many children on the Campground so please adhere to this for their safety.
Trees:
- No defacing of trees, shrubs, rocks or removal of any plants or cutting of trees is permitted.
- No clothesline or anything tied from tree to tree is permitted.
Trespass:
- Respect the privacy of others and do not trespass on their sites. Use the roads instead.
Undesirable Behavior:
- Any camper using profane language or who is intoxicated, or, in the opinion of Campground management, is acting in such a manner that may be injurious or annoying to others will be asked to leave the Campground immediately with no refund.
Visitors and Additional Guests ($):
- Registered campers are responsible for their guests.
- Visitors and additional guests, above the maximum occupancy of two (2) adults and two (2) children per site, must register and can be added at prices listed on the Campground website, at management’s approval.
- Day visitors ($) may use all of the Campground facilities if accompanied by a seasonal or overnight Camper who is registered to a specific site and must leave the Campground by 8:00 p.m. or else pay the overnight fee.
- The public is not permitted drop in from the outside solely to use the Campground facilities.
Wi-Fi ($):
- Wi-Fi is available at no charge with two codes per site.
- Additional wi-fi codes will be provided for an additional fee per device ($).
SWIMMING
The swimming facilities at Cherry Grove Campground (the “Campground”) are NOT SUPERVISED by a lifeguard or other responsible person of the Campground. In place of on-site supervision provided by Campground, Campground has established a series of safeguards that must be followed by all guests.
Campground is required to notify you of these rules to ensure that water rescue equipment is at the swimming pool and that the swimming area is maintained in a sanitary manner. In the interest of your safety and that of your guests, you are required to follow these rules. Please read the safety rules located at the entrance and outlined in this document. If you have any questions, we are happy to discuss them with you. You must agree to all rules before use of the swimming area.
SIGN IN AND OUT OF THE SWIMMING AREA AT THE OFFICE. Everyone entering the swimming rea must have a numbered band. Keep the band for the day and return at close of swimming pool that day.
NEVER SWIM ALONE. A minimum of two (2) adults, age eighteen (18) years or older, must be present whenever this swimming facility is in use. At least one (1) adult must be on the pool deck.
THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR ADEQUATE SUPERVISION. Children under eighteen (18) years of age must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or other responsible adult to supervise their safety and behavior.
IN AN EMERGENCY, DIAL 911 AND THEN FACILITY OPERATOR AT 315-594-8320. A telephone is located in the office adjacent to the swimming rea. Telephone numbers for the nearest emergency medical service are posted.
SWIMMING FACILITY HOURS ARE SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY 11:00 A.M. UNTIL 7:00 P.M., and FRIDAY AND SATURDAY 10:00 A.M. UNTIL 8:00 P.M. but may differ at management’s discretion in the interest of health and safety.
- NO ALCOHOL CONTAINERS.
- NO TOBACCO PRODUCTS AT THE POOL, INCLUDING SMOKING AND VAPING.
- NO FOOD OR BEVERAGE ALLOWED ON POOL DECK.
- NO GLASS CONTAINERS.
- NO PETS ALLOWED IN THE SWIMMING AREA.
- NO DIVING, PUSHING, DUNKING ANYONE UNDER WATER, RUNNING, JUMPING FROM THE SIDE OR ROUGH PLAY ALLOWED.
- NO INFLATABLE FLOTATION DEVICES ALLOWED.
- IF THERE IS A FECAL ACCIDENT, REPORT IT TO STAFF IMMEDIATELY.
- FIRST AID SUPPLIES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE OFFICE.
If weather conditions or other potentially dangerous conditions arise, Campground management will blow whistle to alert all to clear the swimming area. Everyone must file out in single file through the gate. When it is determined safe, an announcement will be made on the loudspeaker that the swimming area is safe to re-enter.
If a person is reported missing, Campground management will blow the whistle to alert swimmers for a swimmer count. If it is determined that someone is still missing, the swimming pool will be cleared and a search will be conducted. Nobody will be allowed to re-enter the swimming pool until it is determined that nobody is in danger.
Campground management will conduct swimming pool checks several times per day to determine the number of swimmers using the swimming pool at any time.
Injuries can be prevented, and safety is everyone’s responsibility. Please notify Campground management at once if you encounter any problems with water quality or the absence of safety equipment.
JUMPING PILLOW
The jumping pillow at the Campground is NOT SUPERVISED by any Campground staff or other responsible person. In place of on-site supervision by Campground, Campground has established a series of safeguards to be followed by all guests.
In the interest of your safety and that of your guests, you are required to follow these rules. Please read the safety rules located at the entrance and outlined in this document. If you have any questions, we are happy to discuss them with you. After you have read this document, please sign the following page and return it to us before use of the jumping pillow.

- NO TOBACCO PRODUCTS, INCLUDING SMOKING AND VAPING.
- NO FOOD, GUM OR BEVERAGE ALLOWED.
- NO GLASS CONTAINERS.
- NO FLIPS, SOMERSAULTS, PUSHING, SHOVING, RACING AROUND OR ROUGH PLAY ALLOWED.
- NO OBJECTS SUCH AS FOOTBALLS, FRISBEES, ETC.
- REMOVE JEWELRY AND EMPTY POCKETS PRIOR TO JUMPING.
- NO CELL PHONES.
- NO SHOES ALLOWED, BUT SOCKS ARE REQUIRED.
- PLACE SHOES ALONG FENCE AWAY FROM GATE.
- KEEP OFF EDGES.
- JUMP AT ARM’S LENGTH FROM OTHERS.
- NO WET CLOTHES OR FEET.
- NO SITTING IN GROUPS.
- NO PETS ALLOWED IN THE JUMPING PILLOW AREA.
- EXIT WITH CAUTION.
- FIRST AID SUPPLIES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE OFFICE.

After reviewing rules regarding the jumping pillow, please sign the last page and return to Campground management. Only guests of the Campground who have received, reviewed and agreed to be bound by all rules in this agreement may use the jumping pillow facility.
